You can call me arrogant as much as you want. But when you’re the best at what you do and have the hottest restaurant on the west coast, with enough Michelin stars to make Gordon Ramsay’s head spin, you’ve earned the right to your confidence.
When I give an instruction in the kitchen, it’s not a suggestion–it’s an order. So when a new chef thinks she can do things her way, and dares to say so to my face, even her sharp wit and gorgeous pouty lips don’t make it okay.
But I have to admit, she’s got talent. She’s creative in the kitchen and not even that double-breasted chef jacket can hide her perfect body. As I get to know her, I can’t help wanting to know everything she thinks. I’ve never met a more talented chef. And I’ve never met a sassier and sexier woman in my life.
There’s only one way this push and pull can end.
With her in my bed, begging for more.
She lets out a sigh of relief, but my cock hears something different in her gasping exhale. I bring my thumb slowly to a speck at the side of her mouth, fingers resting on the round perfection of her jawline. She stills under my touch and catches my gaze, time slowing with the deliberateness of my movements.
I brush the speck, but don’t pull away. Instead, I bring my thumb back across those ever-pouted lips, tracing their dip and fullness, letting her feel the texture of hands rough and scarred from a lifetime in kitchens, our eyes locked together in a moment of anticipation, emotions raging like an angry sea against the dam of the distance between us.
Her lips part slightly, I feel her shortening breath on my hand, and I push my thumb between those juicy, perfect lips, fingers pressing against the base of her ear. Her gentle gasp breaks the silence, before she closes those soft lips around my thumb, the sight of them pressing against my skin making my cock full against my pants. Her teeth gently squeezing my nail, tongue flickering as I push the finger inside the hot wetness of her mouth.
My other hand already on her waist, I pull her toward me, press her lithe body up against mine. Those magnificent hips swaying and rubbing against mine, her weight shifting onto me, breasts heaving, nipples so hard now I can feel them through that sweater dress.
“You’re fucking incredible,” I growl. Prelude to pulling her toward me, my finger in her mouth still, angling her head so I can taste the tenderness of her neck, run my sensitive tastebuds down the taut muscles, follow the path that leads me to the front of her chest. Quiet moans getting louder as I run my tongue down the softness of her cleavage, her dress my enemy now as I pull it down and bury my teeth in her breasts.
“Oh God…” she moans. “Cole…”
I loved this book! It is totally my cup of tea…or cup of perfectly diced onions… Sorry, I had too! I love to cook and pride myself on my amateur ability. Cocky Chef satisfied all my cravings. It totally seduces you with the descriptions of foods and the love/hate relationship between Cole and Willow. Man is their chemistry off the charts! I was hooked from the beginning with the fight at their first meeting. Willow is a strong, funny, and confident (sometimes to a fault) woman. Cole is cocky, arrogant, gorgeous, brooding and successful. Together they are a powerhouse in the kitchen. In the bedroom there are scorching hot! I got everything I wanted from this book and more. I did not want it to end but I savored every last bite, er I mean word. Can’t express how fantastic this book is and the experience it was for me. You don’t just read something like this; you experience it (like a great meal). I will definitely reread this book, as I can see it being an old favorite and my go to for a great read.

“People like you don’t fall in love with people like me.”
Meet Holly Hughes, a moderately successful teen advice columnist living in a studio apartment on the Upper East Side with her boyfriend Stephen. She has it all, but at the ripe age of thirty-one, she wants more. She wants to be married, she wants a family, and she’s going to have it all with Stephen.
At least, that’s what she thought, until Stephen announces he’s gay, and the domino effect of unfortunate events begins. She soon finds herself unemployed, single, and living in her sister’s house on Long Island, working as her niece’s babysitter for less than minimum wage. She’s pretty certain she’s destined to live in the Land of Mediocrity forever.
And then, her niece runs face-first into a tall, handsome man at the bookstore.

What a Freakin’ charming story! 4 stars for Holly Freakin’ Hughes. I was pleasantly surprised that this is Kelsey Kingsley first book. The romantic tale of Holly and Brandon is simply well written with the perfect combination of heartaches and laughter with a dash of sexual encounters that are modestly written, but still very hot. I loved that Kelsey kept the couple in their 30’s, this way it kept the book young and fresh, but also realistic that I could truly enjoy their story.
So, put Kelsey Kingsley on your list for upcoming authors, I can wait to see what else she brings us.
Yes, that’s really my name.
The irony is not lost on me.
I was created from two evil souls and have the name to prove it.
Devil worshipers, perverts, murderer. Is all terms used to describe the parents I refuse to remember. My mind won’t allow me to.
And why would I want to?
One born of dirty blood running through her veins can never truly be clean from its murky hue.
No matter what they try to tell me happened in my past, my mind denies me access, therefore how can I know it’s true?
How can I believe that’s what I’m born from?
Glimpses of my past haunt me, the screams of terror echo in the silent darkness of my memories, trying to remind me that my Mother went from room to room butchering our family.
I’ve learned from scars that I suffered abuse and that my Father and siblings weren’t my Mother’s only victims.
Hearing what they tell me.
Reading the words printed in the papers. None of it can prepare me for what’s to come.
My biggest lesson is learning that some memories we suppress for a reason.
From the synopsis, I knew to expect a dark and twisty book. What I didn’t realize is that I would become completely engrossed in Devil to the point that I could not put down. I didn’t just read it, I DEVOURED it. And it owned me the whole time leaving breathless at the twists and turns that the plot took me through.
Devil is dark, very dark. It also has points of light that weave through it’s blackness. Evi has had an awful life, truly heartbreaking and soul destroying. Honestly, I ached for the little girl turned broken woman. Max is the beacon in Evi’s broken soul. Her former neighbor, he brings her peace that she so needs.
This is as far as I will go. I am afraid that I will give a twist away. Devil still haunts my mind. I am unable to let it go. Please know that if you choose to read it, you are in for a powerful storythat will leave you reeling….

International Bestselling Author Ker Dukey
I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active… I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that I tell my own.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
You can find me on Facebook where I love interacting with my readers.

It started with an affair; a seven day long, no-strings-attached holiday tryst in Los Cabos, Mexico. Giselle Moore is a naive artist fleeing from her troubled past in Paris, France to a better life with her family in New York City but first, she takes a much needed vacation to seek solitude.
Instead, she finds Sinclair, an enigmatic Frenchman who is drawn to her as she is to him and a passionate, illicit affair ensues. The last thing she needs in her life is another complication, yet as the week wears on, she finds herself falling in love with Sinclair.
Still, she leaves him behind when she moves to New York City, ready to reunite with her family and begin life anew. If she is a little heartbroken at the prospect of never seeing the cool and dominating Sinclair again, she’s braced for it.
That is, until Sinclair shows up in her mother’s kitchen and she discovers just whom his ‘darling’ girlfriend really is. Giselle is faced with a choice; family, career and reputation or the love of a man who she should never have fallen in love with, a man that she can no longer picture her life without.
🎨 🎨 🎨
I did not expect to fall in love with Sinclair and Giselle as much as I did. Obviously, the whole premise of the series is cheating and normally I hate books with cheating but The Evolution of Sin series put its hooks into me and wouldn’t let me go. I had a serious book hangover after reading the whole series in two days. I could not stop reading and when I did, I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
The series was a tough read. It evoked so many emotions that I had trouble separating myself from the story for even a small amount of time. The actual cheating aspect is honestly such a small part of the story as whole but revolves around the incident. There were moments that I held my breath, moments when I cried, moments when I hated myself for wanting the two people in the “wrong” just to say “f – it” and be together.
Don’t be scared of the title as I was. There is a double meaning to it. There are many evolutions that take place within in the pages; all you can do is dig your nails in and hang on for one heck of a ride….

“I must admit, I’ve only had a few residents in all my years here who have pushed themselves as hard as you, for no other reason than sheer determination. I can’t help but wonder why that is.”
Dylan fell into step with Dr. Edmonds as they walked toward the first set of doors. He licked his lips and averted his gaze. He wasn’t sure he liked the direction of the conversation. “What do you mean?” he asked as Dr. Edmonds swiped his badge across the security panel. The light flashed green, and a second later a buzzer sounded as the door locks disengaged.
“You’re not doing this out of necessity. Dr. Burton is a friend of mine as well, you know?”
Dr. Burton. Dylan’s grandmother’s doctor friend who’d referred Dylan to Grace and Dr. Edmonds. He was now certain he didn’t like the direction of the conversation. Dylan cleared his throat. “I assumed you two must have known each other in some capacity for him to refer me to you.”
Dr. Edmonds nodded. “Yes. We’re old friends. I’ve also met your grandmother, Ann, a time or two. Very smart lady. Full of spunk too,” he chuckled.
Dylan cracked a smile. “That she is.”
“My point is,” Dr. Edmonds said, not straying from his line of questioning. “I’m aware that your family is quite wealthy. So, whereas the other residents are driven by money to work such brutal hours, I would bet that’s not the case with you. Now, I could be wrong, of course, but in my professional opinion,” he added with a quirk of his lips. “Your desire to push yourself so hard comes from another place entirely. As your mentor, I should know what that is.”
For a moment, Dylan didn’t speak. He weighed his options about just how much he should reveal before releasing a heavy breath and looking Dr. Edmonds in the eye. “Why did you become a psychiatrist?”
Dylan watched as understanding colored Dr. Edmonds’s face, and a sad smile caused the lines around his mouth to deepen. It was a common theory that most doctors became psychiatrists to deal with their own issues. For Dylan, and, it seemed, Dr. Edmonds as well, that theory was more of a reality.
“We all have our reasons, I suppose,” Dr. Edmonds conceded. “I just need to know that yours aren’t going to jeopardize the treatment of a patient.”
Dylan straightened his shoulders, the motion making his lean runner’s body seem wider, more imposing. “I only want to help. I want to help people see their worth, understand that they have options.”
“Apart from what?”
Dylan’s neutral expression masked the turmoil swirling inside his chest as he released the answer in a choked exhale. “Death.”
If I could give Flutter more then 5 stars, I would. It captivated me, made me think, and feel such strong emotions that I had trouble letting go of the characters when the book ended. Olivia Evans took the subject of mental illness, which I am sure is not easy to write about, and made a beautiful love story between two people destined to be together.
I was not expecting the level of suspense that Flutter offered. There are side stories within the book besides Dylan and Presley’s that further invested me in the lives of the characters.
There is so much to say but I do not want to give any of the story away. Frankly, I have had a hard time writing this review without going into details that would give away a plot twist or character “quirk.” Honestly, this is one of the best books that I have read all year.

This book……wow! I am having a difficult time writing a review. I don’t give spoilers in my reviews, and this book is very difficult to review without doing just that. There are lots of plot twists and turns and unexpected events. You MUST read “Finding Claire” first, but trust me it is worth the time to read both books.
I was concerned that the second book was going to be too similar to the first, but, holy Hannah, it was not!!! The continuation of Alex and Kate’s story is perfect. I love how the author followed the same pattern of writing, alternating between the present and letters written years ago by M, that do a fantastic job in filling us in on the backstory.
I apologize for this review being vague, but as I said, I don’t believe in spoilers, so you will just have to check out this book (actually both books, if you have not read the first). GO! Now!!
