Fixing Him is Miranda Elaine’s second novel and it did not disappoint.  After reading her first novel “Fixing Her”, I said she will have difficulty topping it, as it was one of the best books I have read in 2018. But she did it!!!  I don’t know if it topped it?  But it definitely equaled it.

Fixing Him is the story of Sam and Montana.  Sam is a tortured soul, overly responsible and Kade’s business partner.  Remember Kade from Fixing Her?  Swoon!!  He’s not looking for a relationship as he has too many responsibilities.  Montana is a young, free-spirited, lost soul that comes to town with the hopes for fixing up for grandfather’s house and selling it at the end of the summer.  But sometimes fate has other plans for people.  When he starts working on her house, she throws herself at him and he resists, but soon they fall into a no-strings attached relationship, knowing there is an expiration date on their fun.  But they begin to heal each other.  She teaches him to loosen up, have some fun, and take the time for himself.  He teaches her to be responsible without compromising her free-spirit.  They are my new favorite couple!!

This review would not be complete without the mention of Kermie – her pet mini-pig.  He is just the best.  Oh and Tex and Diego!  Oh boy! They need their own book – hint, hint…..

Both of these books – Fixing Her and Fixing Him are definitely on my list of top books of 2108.
