5 STARS
I’m hooked! This is the first book that I have read by Isabel Love, but as soon as I finished Unforgivable I downloaded her other books as well. Oh my, I had trouble putting this book down! I have read a lot of good books lately but this one is really high on that list.
Wesley and Anna meet in elementary school when he is being bullied by classmates for being smelly and wearing old clothes (he’s in foster care). Anna steps in and befriends him and then he, Anna and her brother become the best of friends. Everyone thought Anna and Wesley would end up together but there are a series of mistakes that keep them apart. Without giving anything away, this is the story of their second chance. It’s not only about their second chance at a relationship, but their second chance at righting their wrongs in life. The author covers some really sensitive topics but does it really well. I applaud her for tackling these problems with sensitivity and compassion.
I have come to the realization that whatever I write in this review won’t be enough. I can’t do this book the justice that is due. I can say that it is one the best books I’ve read this year and I am looking forward to discovering more from this author.
Author Bio
Isabel Love is a hopeless romantic. She loves reading about two people falling in love, overcoming whatever obstacles they may face, and finding their happily ever after. A husband, two kids, and a full-time job keep her busy by day, but by night, she can be found with her Kindle in hand, reading “just one more chapter”.
