Wow!! Is really all I can say, Wow!! This book was amazing. The characters are deeply emotional and connect in a way that is beyond words. The first half of the book Elliot and Jasmine are in high school, both with less than stellar home lives. Eli gets bullied in school a lot. Any by a lot, I mean A LOT! I really burned me up, when no one, but Jasmine, including the principal took it seriously. The second half of the book, was my favorite. It takes places 6 years later and Eli and Jazz haven’t seen each other in 6 years. It is definitely heartbreaking watching the two of them try to make their way back to each other. Everything tugs at your heartstrings. Be prepared with the tissues, you will need them. What an emotional roller coaster.
I am a fan of Brittainy’s books and this is definitely on the top of my favorite books for this year.
