Jane Doe Scarlett is a seemlessly executed thrill ride from beginning to end. It has everything that you could possibly want in a book – adventure, suspense, intrigue, and a little romance thrown in to sweeten the pot.
I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to Jane Doe. I had never read Kris Calvert before and picked this read totally from the synopsis. Man, am I ever happy that I did. Jane Doe is a kick a** heroine which is seriously lacking in any books, not just this genre. I have a major girl crush on her. I love her brain and the way that she thinks analitically yet with humanity towards people that she finds deserving of it. She has a soft side, small as it may be, to individuals that she can identify with and feel something for. Feelings are definitely NOT easy for her so this slight amount that she shows is a big deal.
This is where I stop – I WILL NOT go further because I am so afraid of giving any part of the book away. This is a story told in three books, all released the same day. I am running to buy parts 2 and 3 because Kris Calvert left me panting for the rest of the story!

After leaving Atlanta and reporter Matt Matthews behind, Jane takes her next kill assignment in New York City. A terrorist plot so out of the realm of the ordinary, Jane expects to debunk the tip she’s been given and report back to Washington for another assignment.
