I was so excited when I was given the ARC for this book. I am new to Autumn Jones Lake, having only read one other book of hers. She has a new fan! Bullets and Bonfires was so fun and swoon-worthy. Liam is definitely my new book boyfriend. He is what true love is, once he is in, he is all in. He makes huge sacrifices for the woman he loves. Getting there was a little rocky when he considered Bree off limits because she was his best friend’s little sister. I don’t get the Bro Code but I am glad that Liam finally got past it and acknowledged his feelings towards Bree. They are a really great couple with tons of chemistry!!

I have to give credit where credit is due…this author tackled the difficult issue of domestic violence. I really liked how Bree was a strong woman and saved herself time and again. Although she was embarrassed that she stayed with her abuser, she took the steps to heal and learn to help herself. Overall, I think readers will agree that the sensitive topic was handled with grace and understanding. I really truly enjoyed this book and think everyone who reads it will as well!
