Release Date: June 21, 2016
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Romance

Cassidy James was your average seventeen-year-old girl, and senior in high school. She came from a traditional family with conventional morals and values. She was a friend to everyone, and an enemy to no one.

To me…

Cassidy James was so much more. Her hair flowed down her back like an angel’s would. Her eyes were so beautiful that they matched the color of the sea. Cassidy simply was the epitome of perfection. The only problem was when it came to Cassidy James…

We were just friends.

Yay, Ashley is back!!! I have always enjoyed her writing so I was super excited when she contacted me about Cassidy James and I have to say, she hasn’t lost her touch!

There is something about the YA genre that is so endearing. I’m not sure if it’s nostalgia or if I am thinking of my own children going through the times of young love and self-discovery. Either way, Cassidy Jane is everything that I want in a YA read. Sweet and charming, the story of Cassidy’s crush on Conner and Graham’s (her best friend) realization that he is falling for Cassidy make me remember and yearn for a simpler time in my life.

A fast read with a good plot and characters, Cassidy James is “fluffy” enough to capture your heart, while making your brain want more of the story. The book has an HEA with a cliffhanger to be continued in book 2, which I CAN NOT wait for! Welcome back, Ashley!!!!
