“Just—Just get in the shower,” he mutters, pulling back the shower curtain.
“Why are you doing all this?”
A pensive look crosses his face. “All of what?”
“This!” I wave my hands around. “Holding that nice old couple at gunpoint, in here with me. All of it?”
His eyes rake over me, and he shrugs. “So you could shower.”
“So you kidnapped a little old couple so I could shower?”
“Yep!”
It’s wrong, so wrong. Yet, I feel my chest tighten with longing and adoration. I like it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I can’t help my attraction to him. His stare is cold, his calloused hands rough, but his draw is soft and alluring.
“You going to get in?” He flicks a brow at me.

Talk about a killer ending to a two part series! I was on the edge of my seat, biting my fingernails the entire time reading Mercy!! The book leaves off exactly where Reign ends and the pace does not slow down until the very end. Brutal, fast-paced, and spellbinding, Mercy is the most unlikely of love stories with an edge.
Zeek and Jillian are the most unlikely of couples – a biker and a sheriff is not your typical love match but somehow they work. They are sinfully hot together even when they hate each other. Jillian is tough, but she is capable of breaking. I loved that she was an amazingly strong character with a sense of self and the confidence not to be afraid to show that she is bada**. Zeke is not your typical “bad boy with a heart.” He does not apologize for who or what he is – an outlaw. When these two get together….well, let’s just say I was afraid my iPad was going to catch fire, it was so HOT.
I loved the fact that I really had no clue how Mercy was going to play out in the end. I was actually afraid a time or two of what might happen.
This two-part series has my ABSOLUTE recommendation. There is a cliffhanger in Reign but that is not a big deal for those of you that don’t like them since Mercy is already out.
I am now hooked on M. N. Forgy and am looking forward to more from her in the future!!!
