Seriously, Alessandra can write anything and I would read it. While I LOVE her darker books, I adore her lighter books just the same. Love, Chloe is Sex in the City meets something along the lines of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Chloe is quirky, funny, witty and strong, all the while being down on her luck. She learns to reinvent herself after losing the everything that she has known her whole life.
This story was first published in Cosmopolitan Magazine as a series following Chloe as she lived and loved in New York City. I had read some of the series but somehow never finished, so I was thrilled that Alessandra decided to rework it and publish it. Chloe could be any one of us in our twenties…trying to figure out life while navigating first jobs, first experiences on our own, and trying to date and possibly find “the one.” While I didn’t have to learn how to be broke and do all of this (I was already broke LOL), I found that I could relate to Chloe in more ways then one. I think this is why the story is so endearing to me.
Alessandra never fails to have strong characters and amazing plots. For her fans of her darker books, I would say give Love, Chloe a shot. I doubt you will be sorry. If somehow you haven’t read any of her books yet, pick this one up and then read EVERY SINGLE ONE of her books.
