The New York Times bestselling author of Wallbanger and Rusty Nailed is back with Nuts, the first in a brand new series set in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley.

Roxie Callahan is a private chef to some of Hollywood’s wealthiest, and nastiest, calorie-counting wives. After a dairy disaster implodes her carefully crafted career in one fell ploop, she finds herself back home in upstate New York, bailing out her hippie mother and running the family diner.

When gorgeous local farmer Leo Maxwell delivers her a lovely bunch of organic walnuts, Roxie wonders if a summer back home isn’t such a bad idea after all. Leo is heavily involved in the sustainable slow food movement, and he likes to take his time. In all things. Roxie is determined to head back to the west coast as soon as summer ends, but will the pull of lazy fireflies and her very own Almanzo Wilder be enough to keep her home for good?

Salty. Spicy. Sweet. Nuts. Go on, grab a handful

5 STARS

ALICE IS BACK!!! I fell in love with her writing and characters in Wallbanger and the subsequent books, so when I heard the she was started a new series I was so excited I could have peed my pants. Seriously, I’ve had three kids – it could happen. Anywho, Nuts is extraordinary! If I could have given it more then five stars, I would have been all over that shiz.

Roxie and Leo are amazing characters. I would love to be their friend if, you know, they were real. And that Leo – holy yum factor. I’d love to eat his nuts any day. Dang fictional characters worming their way into my heart…

I really want to gush all over the place about the plot but honestly, you must experience it for yourself. I will say it is saucy, hilarious, and hot with just a dash of sweet thrown in to make you go “Awwww.” Just read it or I’ll find you and throw Nuts at you (it could be the book or it could be REAL nuts – I’ll let that be a surprise…)
