THE ABC’S OF DEE by Danielle Bannister Review!!! @dbannisterbooks

It always starts out so innocent. A drink, a laugh, a bet. For 40-year-old Dee Harper, her hum-drum life is about to become…educated.

When Dee’s wealthy friend, Gail, makes her a ridiculous bet, she never dreams she’ll actually go through with it. After all, dating 26 men in one year, from A-Z, is ludicrous. Right? Then Gail offers her fifty thousand dollars if she succeeds. Now that is an offer she can’t refuse.

From Adam the cocky limo driver to Kevin the klepto Dee learns the hard way what sort of guy she doesn’t want.

Filled to the brim with snark and sarcasm about the joys of dating ‘later in life,’ The ABC’s of Dee reminds us that even though life sometimes sucks, there is always someone there to laugh with.

I met Danielle at Penned Con a few weeks ago and she asked me “Do I like to ready snarky books?”  My instant response was “yes!!”  I love snarky books.  So, I purchased her book, having never heard of her before, and I dove right in.   Wow – I laughed (a lot), cried (a fair amount, at one point), smirked and totally sympathized with Dee.  This book is snarky to the max!!

Dee is forty-something and starting over after a tough few years.  She is getting back in the game.  Her best friend Gail dares her to date the alphabet and she accepts.  Along the way we meet 26 guys who are “interesting”.  The loopholes she finds will have you laughing out load.

There are a few twists and turns, but the one constant is Gail and Dee’s friendship.  They have been there for each other through everything and continue to be.  Danielle weaves a great story of friendship, while heart wrenching at times, love and respect, with a side order of snark.

I know it’s pretty late in the summer, but this would be a great beach read!
